While the mascot has sparked an uproar amongst the Jewish community, the jovial, money-seething caricature has been a staple on the Bigfork campus since its inception in the mid-1800's.

"Ousting 'Moshe the Thieving Hook Nose' would be devastating for us," said Gerald Beemer, the President of the University of Montana-Bigfork. "Old 'Hook Nose' has been the face of our fine institution for over 200 years--why all of a sudden is our blatantly stereotypical and offensive mascot now just starting to stir the melting pot of debate?"

Thousands of Bigfork students stood up for the school's mascot, claiming that the removal of Moshe would be "almost as terrible as when Israel bombed the Twin Towers." According to sources, despite its initial resistance, the University of Montana-Bigfork is starting to consider new mascot options--like "Barry" the bulldog, "Terry" the tiger, and "Dynamite" the bomb-wielding, Muslim terrorist.
